Privacy Policy

This policy describes exactly what Troniction (troniction.com and app.troniction.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
- Reading the site: measurement only, and no cookies at all until you agree if you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland.
- Asking for the book: your email address, used to send the book and occasional notes. Never sold, never shared, one-click unsubscribe in every email.
- Buying: handled by Lemon Squeezy, who are the seller of record. Troniction never sees your card.
- Advertising: the ad platforms are told that a click converted, never who you are.
- Live chat: if you message us, we keep the conversation so we can answer it and remember it next time.
What is collected, and why
When you read the site
Troniction uses Google Analytics to see which pages actually help people build. Analytics
requests are sent to data.troniction.com, a server Troniction runs, and forwarded to
Google from there. This means the measurement data is handled on Troniction's own infrastructure
first, rather than going straight to a third party from your browser.
What that records: the pages you visit, roughly where you are (country level), your device and browser type, and how you arrived. Your IP address is used to work out the country and is truncated before it reaches Google. A first-party cookie distinguishes a returning reader from a new one.
Live chat, and who is on the site
Troniction runs its own visitor record so that someone reading the site can be offered help while they are still there, and so a question asked in the chat can be answered by a person rather than disappearing. It runs on Troniction's own servers; no third party is involved.
What that records: the pages you look at and for how long, how far down you read, how you arrived, your browser, device and language, and the country your connection comes from. Your IP address is used to work out that country and is then truncated before it is stored — only the first three parts of it are kept, which is enough to tell networks apart and not enough to identify a connection. A first-party cookie gives your browser an identifier so a returning reader is recognised as the same person; it lasts two years and contains nothing but a random value.
If you open the chat, the messages are kept so the conversation can continue. If you have given Troniction your email address before — by asking for the book, or by buying — that address is linked to the record, so a reply can reach you.
The legal basis for this is legitimate interest: running a small business well enough to answer the people using it. You can object at any time, and there is no cost to you for doing so — see Your rights below.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Troniction will not start a chat with you or show you anything on the basis of what you have been reading.
When you ask for the book
Your email address, the time you asked, and whether the email was delivered. It is used to send the book, occasional notes when there is something new, and nothing else. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. The list is never sold or shared.
The signup form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a human is submitting it. Cloudflare receives technical signals from your browser for that check.
The same is true of the sign-up box that can appear while you are reading, or that you can open from the small bar at the bottom of an article. It is the same list and the same unsubscribe link, and it only ever adds you if you tick the box yourself — the box is never pre-ticked, and closing the box adds you to nothing. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
So that you are not asked twice, your browser stores a small record of having seen or closed that box, and of having signed up. It stays on your device, is not sent anywhere, and is not used to identify you.
When you buy
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record: they run the checkout, take the payment, and handle tax. Troniction never receives or stores your card details. Troniction is told that an order happened, with the order number, the email address used and the amount, so that course access can be granted to the right person.
Advertising
If you arrive from an advert, the link carries a click identifier from the ad platform. When a conversion happens — you ask for the book, or you buy — Troniction's server tells the ad platform that that click converted. What is sent is the click identifier, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. Your email address, name and phone number are never sent to any ad platform, hashed or otherwise.
Cookies and your choice
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, nothing is stored and no measurement or advertising
cookie is set until you choose Accept. Choosing Reject is a real choice and is
remembered; ignoring the banner counts as a refusal, not as agreement. You can change your mind by
clearing the troniction_consent cookie in your browser.
Elsewhere, measurement runs by default, and you can opt out with your browser's own controls or by blocking cookies for this site.

Who else is involved
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager) — measurement.
- Meta — advertising measurement; click identifiers only.
- Cloudflare — serves the site, and the Turnstile check on the signup form.
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, and Amazon SES for sending email.
- Lemon Squeezy — checkout and payment, as merchant of record.
How long things are kept
- Email address: until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be deleted.
- Analytics: 14 months.
- Visit records — pages, time, device, country: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- Chat conversations: 12 months, then deleted automatically.
- Order records: as long as tax law requires Lemon Squeezy and Troniction to keep them.
- Consent choice: 180 days, then you are asked again.
Your rights
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for a copy, or object to it being used — including everything above. Write to [email protected] and it will be dealt with within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK and are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
The course is written for an adult and a child to build together, but the account and the purchase belong to the adult. Troniction does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the change is described here.
