Build a Car With Your Kid · Chapter 6
Stage A: put the sketch on the board
The video
The video of Stage A, from plugging in to Car ready, isn’t filmed yet. It’s on its way, and it will go on this page: the QR in your book stays the same.
Until then, every step is on the Stage A test page, as Chapter 6 prints it: the parent’s setup, steps P1 to P7, and the child’s upload, steps A1 to A5, then the test.
In short: install the Arduino IDE, plug the board in, choose Arduino Uno and its port, open car.ino and press Upload. When the IDE says Done uploading, open the Serial Monitor at 9600 baud: it shows Car ready. If no port appears, try another USB cable first; the CH340 driver link is on the test page.
