ATmega328P Pinout T-Shirt

“D13 = PB5 = Pin 19.”

A nerdy electronics tee: the ATmega328P 28-pin DIP, every pin with its port bit, the pin number you use in a sketch, PWM pins, power and the SPI, TWI and UART pins.

What it teaches

  • The same pin has three names: physical pin 19 on the chip, port bit PB5 in the datasheet, and D13 in an Arduino sketch. Knowing all three is how you read a schematic against your code.
  • Six pins can do hardware PWM, marked ~: D3, D5, D6, D9, D10 and D11.
  • A0–A5 are port C (PC0–PC5, pins 23–28); A4 and A5 double as the TWI (I2C) bus, SDA and SCL.
  • D10–D13 (PB2–PB5) are the SPI pins SS, MOSI, MISO and SCK; D0 and D1 (PD0, PD1) are the hardware UART, RXD and TXD.
  • The chip has two power pairs: VCC/GND on pins 7–8 and AVCC/GND on pins 20 and 22, with AREF on pin 21 for the analog reference.
